What we collect. Backyard North does not require an account and does not ask you for personal information to read the site. Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically log basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, for security and performance.

Affiliate links and cookies. When you click an affiliate link (for example, to Amazon.ca), the retailer may set cookies in your browser to track that the referral came from us. Those cookies are controlled by the retailer and governed by its privacy policy. We don’t receive your name, address or payment details.

Analytics. If we add privacy-friendly analytics in the future, this policy will be updated to say so.

Newsletter. If we offer an email newsletter, we will only use your email address to send that newsletter, and you will be able to unsubscribe at any time.

Third-party sites. We link to other websites. We aren’t responsible for their privacy practices.

Your rights. Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA), you can ask what personal information an organization holds about you. Questions about this policy can be sent through the contact details on this site.
